III LAB Unleashes World-Class Indulgence From Within A Glass

(Food-Beverage-News.Com, September 17, 2014 ) New York City, New York -- What kind of indulgence is this about? To sum it up in a quote, it would be this one by the great Lao Tzu: "Those who know do not speak. Those who speak do not know." This surprisingly simple and fun-filled gadget is quietly pleasing more and more people at zero degrees, probably at zero decibels even.

Here is an example of a man who has had a long day at work. He is making his way home through the traffic, and he is thirsty. That opened bottle of water he has with him seems so stale that he no longer wants anymore of it. He knows he could have made a stop to grab that attractive bottle of thirst quencher by the corner store he just passed by.

He most likely is thinking of getting home as quickly as possible to loosen up his labor-drenched shirt and put his tired feet up by the sofa to relax with an ice-cold glass of his favorite drink. So he arrives home and goes straight to the kitchen. He has his glass ready on the kitchen surface. For this evening, he has made up his mind to savor on his beloved 18-year-old whiskey. Now, he is heading for the refrigerator for some ice.

After several minutes of twisting and wrestling with the ice trays, he finally fills the glass of alluring whiskey with ice cubes. He knows he unintentionally messed up the kitchen surface and floor in the trying process, but he is just going to walk up to the living room and sit himself down for good.

A moment later, the TV is on. And of course, he may be on his social media accounts sieving through his friends' posts for something interesting. By the time he picks up the glass of whiskey for his third sip, he finds that his drink has been watered-down already. He checks the fast-melting ice cubes in the glass, gives it a stir, and gets back to where he left off.

In about 10 minutes, he knows he will have to drink up the rest of the whiskey before it loses too much of its taste. The thought of making another glass of whiskey seems a load of work by now, so he decides to go for a shower… Besides this typical lifestyle example, one way or another, most people have faced and ignored the problem of fast-melting ice cubes in their drinks for far too many times in their daily lives. Would it not be great if there is a solution to this?

III LAB has a solution to this problem. The focus is taken on the fundamentals of science whereby a sphere shape object has the least surface area when compared to objects of other shapes. The least surface area means that the object has the least contact with the warm air or substance around it. Therefore, a sphere of ice will melt much slower than a regular ice cube.

Due to this slow-melting phenomenon, ice spheres are able to unleash the full or hidden flavors of all kinds of beverage. III LAB's Ice Orb Cast (IOC) is such innovation to create ice spheres (or ice orbs) and to revive the way people consume their beverages, whether alcoholic or not. It is easy-to-use and can be stacked to conserve space in the refrigerator.

It only takes less than a minute to pop a 2.5-inch ice ball into a glass without leaving any mess around the kitchen. Moreover, it is rather surprising to find out how people are indulging themselves creatively with this ice ball mold. Honestly, Lao Tzu's words are at times simply too difficult to abide.
