"The reason we're so popular is that we're not just really a simple pub," declares Louise Greene, whose experience in the restaurant industry spans more than 30 years. "We are also a restaurant and a marina, as well as a pub. We serve brunch to dinner and everything in between and after dinner, too."
The success of RiverHouse is founded upon the passion and commitment brought by the upper echelons of the management. Louise Greene has worked with the
RiverHouse Restaurant since its inception in 1997, and her own personal philosophy is to make sure that the needs of all their guests come first. Katrina, the Assistant General Manager, also brings 15 years of experience working in resorts, hotels, and restaurants.
The Head Chef, Jamie, began his career in the kitchen as a 15-year old, and he climbed his way through the ranks to become the leader of an 18-person staff. "Our menu is also wonderful, and we showcase a range of dishes that are both tasty and healthy," said Richmond pub general manager Ms. Greene, "the steak is organic, the burgers are prepared by hand, and the fries are locally sourced. The bread is baked fresh, and the frying oils are free of trans fat. Every dish is meticulously and individually prepared, and contains only the freshest ingredients. Gluten-free dishes are also available."
Tapas and appetizers include calamari dishes, prawns, crab, salmon, mussels, clams, scallops, pickles, chicken wings and strips, yam or truffle fries, Nachos, and camembert.
"Throughout our 18 year history, we have strived to keep the menu delicious and extensive," said Delta bar manager Ms. Greene, "the salads are all gluten-free. Burgers and other sandwiches are also available. Favorite dishes include the chicken pot pie, the Fanny Bay breaded oysters, the half rack RH Jamaican Rum ribs, and the blackened chicken quesadilla. Dinner dishes include salmon, halibut, sirloin steak, lamb, crepe, and seafood spaghettini."
Happy hour at RiverHouse Restaurant & Pub lasts from 3 to 6 PM, when the drink and food menu comes with discounts. There's also a special menu for children. The RiverHouse Restaurant isn't just a pub, after all, but a special place where entire families can enjoy themselves as courteous and professional servers attend to their every need.
Visitors who come by boat can tie up on the Ladner marina, and guests can enjoy their meals in the restaurant or in the heated patio.
