It is produced from unripe drupes of the pepper plant. These drupes are cooked, cleaned, and dried. From the dried black pepper corns, three by-products are obtained: black pepper spirit, which is used in medicinal and beauty products; black pepper oil, which is used in ayurvedic massage oil and beauty and herbal treatments; and black pepper, which is used as a spice for culinary.
