Obese Workers in Texas Place Heavy Burden on Companies

(EMAILWIRE.COM, April 18, 2011 ) Dallas, TX -- U.S. Employers are paying over $73 billion on obese workers. This figure includes three factors; medical costs, presenteeism - when employees come to work in spite of illness, which can have negative repercussions on business performance or result in lost productivity and absence from work. Texas weight loss population is over 7 million who suffer from obesity and growing; creating a financial burden on both state and companies.

BMI (Body Mass Index) greater than 30 = obesity. Check BMI at www.slimspamedical.com

The HCG Diet can help both overweight or obese workers and employers. Overweight or obese workers who lose weight gain benefits of health by reducing risks of high blood pressure, high cholesterol & type 2 diabetes. Employers gain financially with lower health costs and improved productivity. LetÂ’s cover both sides as this seems like a win-win situation.

ItÂ’s common knowledge that an obese person is at higher risk for high blood pressure, high cholesterol & type 2 diabetes. So how does HCG accomplish weight loss to help overweight or obese workers? The HCG Diet Plan is unlike any other diet on the market because it addresses two important weight loss issues; abnormal fat and eating lifestyle. All fats are not created equal and actually there are three types of fat. Reserve fat is stored in the body and used for energy when one skips a meal. Structural fat is in between oneÂ’s organs, joints and bones. And then thereÂ’s abnormal fat or adipose tissue that all overweight and obese suffer from. HCG targets and mobilizes the abnormal fat full of vitamins, nutrients and calories. This way an overweight or obese person can enter a low calorie diet without suffering their metabolism crashing downward or going into starvation mode where their body holds onto the fat as a survival mechanism. So the HCG protocol consists of HCG and a healthy low calorie diet. The actual diet consists of protein; steak, skinless chicken breast, lobster, crab, shrimp, white fish. Fresh vegetables are included like spinach, tomatoes, all greens (lettuce), fennel, onions, red radishes, cucumbers, asparagus and cabbage. Also fresh fruit like strawberries, apples, oranges and grapefruits. People on the HCG diet lose weight and they learn to adopt a healthy eating lifestyle to maintain weight loss.

Obese workers are costing employers annually as much as $16,900 for obese women and $15,500 for obese men in medical costs, presenteeism and absenteeism. Over 25% of Americans are obese according to the CDC (Center of Disease Control). So if a company employees 100 workers and letÂ’s say 25 workers had a BMI (Body Mass Index) of 30 or more (obese starting point). Then 25 x $16,000 (half obese women & men) = $400,000 cost annually to the company for obese workers. This amount is staggering and the worst news is the problem of obesity is getting worse in America.

The win-win solution would be for companies to adopt and subsidize the HCG diet for all overweight and obese workers. Companies can get HCG online. Slim Spa Medical offers a medically supervised Texas HCG program from the comfort of an employeeÂ’s home. Employees may call their medical staff with questions at 800-208-6533, and theyÂ’ll follow up with employees weekly to update their medical chart. Also, a patient area within their website is available so employees can connect with others on the Texas diet as a support group.
