Columbiaville, Michigan Jumps On Hydroponic Gardening Industry Rise

(EMAILWIRE.COM, May 03, 2011 ) Columbiaville, Michigan – Despite all of the dreary news about the economy and the lack of jobs in the State of Michigan people are finding their own way financially. According to the census and employment records it appears that many people have given up looking for the 9-5 type of job and have taken the entrepreneurial role. Depending on where you look this can be somewhat exciting. Michigan has become one of the premiere locations where the field of hydroponic gardening has taken great precedence. This has a lot of would be potential job seekers excited because this this has opened the door to a whole new variety of opportunities.

Entrepreneurs can enter the organic produce market with very little start up capital and not have to go through the traditional hoops associated with franchises. The quarterly earnings should impress even the most sour of cynics. The popular organic produce store, Wild Oats has reported 238 million per quarter and Whole Foods has reported 2.1 billion every fiscal quarter on the average. When one considers that most organic stores of this variety purchase from local and independent growers that spells out really great news for Michigan. Gourmet and boutique stores also sell local Michigan produce including Hillers markets, Plumbs and organic health stores like Zerbos. There is another angle here that Michigan entrepreneurs should take note of and that is peopleÂ’s food co-ops and restaurants/Inns.

A few years ago Detroit, Michigan was nominated to be one of the fattest cities in the U.S. according to some studies that were conducted. There were reports of juvenile diabetes and other degenerative conditions affecting our youth. The concept of eating cleaner and healthier rings true for a lot of educators and city leaders. The financial end of the organic produce market is another sign of bright times ahead. Columbiaville, Michigan is becoming a place that is known for hydroponics thanks to stores expanding across to multiple locations like Edenz Hydro. In just a few short months, Edenz Hydro has created a strong presence within the hydroponic gardening community and has become one of MichiganÂ’s largest supplier of hydroponic nutrients including Humboldt, Advanced Nutrients, and Botanicare.

Cash crops can bring a substantial amount of revenue source into the State of Michigan. There is enough farmland and resources here in Michigan to produce enough food for the Ohio, and Indiana markets. Columbiaville, is just one of many cities that is welcoming this new enterprise into their community and time will tell where this exciting new industry can take us.
