The British band believes that they have a decade of hard work and success to back them up. "That's why we called it such a strange thing, Mylo Xyloto," said singer Chris Martin when asked backstage at the Austin City Limits festival. Martin also added that the band is just making an attempt to come up with a fresh, a fresh, new name. To them, Mylo Xyloto does not really mean anything except the music in the album.
Mylo Xyloto by Coldplay is actually the band’s first release since “Death and All His Friends” or “Viva La Vida” in 2008. The album is produced by Rik Simpson, Daniel Green, and Markus Dravs, together with Brian Eno’s "enoxification" and a few compositions. The Mylo Xyloto release date is on October 24th, hitting stores a week before Halloween.
Mylo Xyloto contains 14 new songs, including the new single “Paradise” and the latest single ‘Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall”. The forthcoming album also includes the song "Princess of China" featuring Rihanna as a guest vocal.
