(Food-Beverage-News.Com, May 19, 2013 ) Sterling Heights, Michigan – When one thinks of organic produce, one thinks about purity, cleanliness, nutrition, and the care taken by those who create it. Unfortunately, the food market is currently dominated by a small group of government protected corporations. Most of today’s food is genetically modified in an effort to maximize profits while ignoring public health concerns. The quality of the nation’s food will scrutinized like never before during a one of a kind event that affects every family in Southeastern Michigan. On May 25th, 2013 people from all around the world will be gathering to protest crony-capitalist food giant Monsanto.
One of the Michigan Monsanto protests will be occurring in Sterling Heights, Michigan at the City Hall building. The protest will be led by US House of Representatives candidate George Brikho, who represents Michigan’s 9th congressional district. The candidate will be spreading the message of organic farming, while offering political solutions to a wide variety of issues important to the American people. The candidate for US Congress believes genetically modified food ingredients should be labeled. To Mr. Brikho, GMO labeling legislation should be a common-sense issue. As Mr. Brikho puts it, “How can a genetically modified vegetable be as good for children as a vegetable grown the way God intended it to be?” Walking in the steps of Dr. Ron Paul, Brikho is an honest man who is not intimidated by the political establishment.
Mr. Brikho has lived in Michigan's 9th district for over 25 years, and owns a small business. As a symbol to everything American, and in the spirit of liberty, Mr. Brikho and the campaign staff will be focusing on protecting civil rights. His campaign is reaching out to people from all walks of life to discuss the value of entrepreneurship, freedom, and the wonderful virtues of America.
