Discover The Truth About Garcinia Cambogia's HCA And Weight Loss

(Food-Beverage-News.Com, June 24, 2013 ) Houston, Texas -- Truth is, Garcinia Cambrogia works, but not by itself.

For centuries, in India, families gathered for meals containing fruit of the Garcinia Cambogia plant. Today that same modest plant is viewed by many as a magic bullet for weight loss. Hydroxycitric Acid ("HCA"), extracted from the fruit's rind, is credited with blocking fat, reducing body mass, lowering cholesterol, and a host of other fairly remarkable things for our health and well-being.

But, hold on.

In 1998, a 12 week study was conducted by the Columbia University Department of Medicine, Obesity Research Center, in which 135 individuals were given HCA under controlled, double blind conditions. The objective was to determine if HCA alone could be shown to promote weight loss. The result, according to published findings, was "Garcinia Cambogia failed to produce significant weight loss and fat mass loss beyond that observed with a placebo." Later confirmed by others, HCA was dead as a weight loss aide.

HCA comes back.

Just six years later (2004) HCA was back as a major proven fat fighter based on another double-blind study done this time by Georgetown University Hospital, led by Dr. H. G. Preuss.

The Georgetown study said, "(HCA) is a safe, natural supplement for weight management." It showed "at the end of 8 weeks, body weight and BMI decreased by 5.4% and 5.2%, respectively." HCA was shown to work as a weight loss supplement.

So, what changed? The 2004 Georgetown study added Calcium, Potassium, and Chromium, to the formula. The calcium-potassium-HCA salt delivered the HCA in a water soluble, bioavailable media; one that the body could actually absorb and use. The Columbia (1998) study delivered the HCA "bound to calcium, which resulted in a poorly soluble (less than 50%) and less bioavailable form," according to the Georgetown researchers.

Mark Jones, Customer Relations Manager for Vitality Haus, LLC, a retailer of Super Strength Garcinia Cambogia, said, "adding Calcium, Potassium and Chromium, as they did in the Georgetown study, adds proven weight loss characteristics from essential elements. Those who based their formula on the Georgetown study, as we did, experienced terrific results with the product."

Garcinia Cambogia's HCA, when you add Calcium-Potassium and Chromium to the mix, gives you more (than meets the eye).
