White Mulberries and white mulberry tea were recently hailed by Dr Oz as the next big health food craze. mulberry tea is rising in popularity because it has shown great promise in preventing Diabetes. The tea leaves were hand-picked and harvested in February 2014. The leaves originate from chemical and pesticide farms in the Highlands in Northern Thailand. The tea is not certified USDA Organic. However, the company's source mulberry trees have been tested and certified, "free of chemicals, metals, toxins, pollutants, and other hazards of consumption," by the Thailand Department of Agriculture, Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives.

The tea has been used as a medicinal herb in China for thousands of years because the leaves contain 25 times more calcium than milk and ten times more iron than spinach.
There are more than 3,000 years of records of the cultivation of mulberry tress in China. The ancient Chinese used the mulberry tree for raising silkworms, paper-making, food, and its medicinal qualities.
