Today the company announced the addition of a new product, a grill mat, which will appeal to the same customer base as its other products which potentially includes millions of Americans who do outdoor cooking.
The grill mat is a Teflon® coated flexible mat which can be laid directly on a barbecue grill for cooking a wide variety of foods including hamburgers, steaks, fish, shrimp, vegetables, actually almost anything. It prevents the drippings or residue from the cooking food to form on the grill grates thus eliminating the need to scrub with a grill brush after cooking. An additional advantage of cooking on the grill mat is that, unlike cooking directly on the grill, the cooked food never sticks and slides off the surface when done. After cooling the grill mat washes off easily and can be re-used many times. According to the announcement grill marks from the grill grates come through onto the food, just as though cooked directly on the grill, no taste or odor is transmitted to the food, and the mat will withstand heat up to 600º F.
