(Food-Beverage-News.Com, November 25, 2014 ) Huntsville, AL -- At a recent event in Huntsville, Alabama, Backyard Bulldog continued its new launch by promoting its grill mat product with different commercial grills. During this specific test, CEO Matthew Richardson used a four burner Char-Broil Commercial Series Gas Grill.
In order to properly test the grill mats, Richardson cooked multiple food items, worked with varying temperatures, and demonstrated how the grill mats are cleaned. "It's important to show customers that our product meets their standards. While we make substantial and true claims, many people prefer to see firsthand proof," said Richardson.
Backyard Bulldog attempted to provide that firsthand proof by opening the event grilling burgers. Richardson started by igniting all four burners and then placing the mat on the Char-Broil grill's grates. The grill was turned to a medium setting and the burgers took around 10 minutes to cook.
"Burgers are the staple food for a lot of casual grillers, so that's why we chose them to start the event," Richardson said. Next up, he placed a pork tenderloin on the grill mat to test a thicker meat. The tenderloin was cooked at a high temperature to prove the mat's sturdiness and only took 20 minutes.
Other foods cooked during the event included corn, asparagus, bacon, and pancakes. As Richardson said after the event, "We wanted to prove the mat's quality and versatility, so I hope people left with the impression that the Backyard Bulldog Grill Mat is effective and useful."
After turning off the grill, Richardson demonstrated how to clean the grill mat. He used some paper towels to wipe the grease off the mat and then placed it under warm water. He used soap to clean it, but told the attendees that "It is also dishwasher safe, if you prefer to clean it that way."
