Mr. Muffin's Effective Tips To Make Baking Healthy

(Food-Beverage-News.Com, April 10, 2015 ) Los Angeles, California -- Mr. Muffin introduced its silicone baking cups on Amazon recently and the product is already filled with excellent customer reviews from buyers who have tried the product. Silicone bakeware has become popular in the recent years among home bakers because of its flexibility and non-stick surface that makes baking easier.

Although baking can be made easy, most of the time baked goods are considered unhealthy because of its high energy and fat content. Because of this, Rachel Levy shares to their customers some tips to make baking healthier.

To make fluffy cake using cake mix, Levy shares a tip that allows skipping the eggs and oil. She says that an egg white and a can of soda can instead be used to have a delicious dessert that only contains 160 Calories and 2 grams of fat per piece.

Levy says, "Because most dry cake mixes contain some amount of fat, there is actually no need to add more. You can also use other combinations such as using diet cream soda for white or yellow cake mix and diet root beer when using chocolate cake mix."

Chocolate chip cookie recipes usually call for larger portions than what is considered healthy. Levy therefore recommends using a tablespoon in taking out dough to measure correct and healthy portions. Brownies and sheet cake should be sliced into two-inch squares before serving while pies must be 1 and ½ inches across the widest part.

Levy adds, "To reduce the calories in chocolate chip cookies, you can try using a cup of finely chopped chocolate instead of two. The smaller pieces will allow more chips to be distributed in each bite so you will not feel deprived. You can also do this to other calorie-dense ingredients like nuts and dried fruits. Chop finely half of the needed amount in the recipe."
