(Food-Beverage-News.Com, June 12, 2015 ) Foley, Alabama -- The 7th European edition of the Sustainable Foods Summit was celebrated and hosted last June 4 to 5, 2015 in Amsterdam. It comprises four dedicated sessions over a 2-day programme. The celebration's main objective is to promote sustainability in the organic food industry and promote organic food ingredients and sustainable packaging.
Organic educators and speakers also attended the event and discussed about the spectrum of green packaging options available to food and drink brands, as well as organic marketing developments. The celebration also discussed about opportunities provided by sustainable ingredients in organic food and beverage applications. Attendees were also provided networking breaks, meals and drinks reception.
Since 2009, the Sustainable Foods Summit has been discussing about issues between agrochemical giants and organic food industry that faces concerning sustainability and eco-labels, such as Organic, Rainforest Alliance, Fair Trade and UTZ Certified, etc. The aim of the Sustainable Foods Summit is to explore new horizons for economic labels that protect organic products like heirloom vegetables and or heirloom seeds. Other international programs connected with the summit were hosted in North America and Latin America.
The European edition was hosted in Amsterdam last June 4th to 5th, 2015, whilst the North American edition will be held in San Francisco on January the next following year. The 2nd Latin American edition will be celebrated in Sâo Paulo in June 2016. These celebrations of the Sustainable Foods Summit will gather together organic enthusiasts, anti-GMO groups, educators and leading organizations involved in eco-labels and sustainability food industry.
The Sustainable Foods Summit is devised for key stake-holders in the food industry that include speakers, financiers and investors, academic researchers, NGOs, packaging companies, retailers and distributors, organic farmers, heirloom enthusiasts, raw material suppliers, food and beverage manufacturers and stake holders.
