"We're happy to offer a variety of restaurant dishes to our loyal customers," admits Louise Greene, who runs Delta bar, RiverHouse Restaurant, as General Manager. The menu is headline by the $25 British Columbia Halibut. According to Greene, this is likely to be a favorite, as it is served with fresh cut fries, field greens, and the RiverHouse tartar.
Another option is the Half Rack RiverHouse Jamaican Rum Ribs. "This costs less than $17, and the half rack Jamaican ribs have been specially marinated and slowly baked to perfection," says Ladner restaurant worker, Greene. "This we also serve with fresh cut fries and field greens."
Then there is the mouth-watering Rack of Lamb. "We pan seared and roasted our rack of lamb with Dijon herb crust, and then we finished the preparation with red wine lamb jus," elaborates Greene. "We then serve it with seasonal vegetables and a choice between basmati rice pilaf and the special Chef's potatoes."
For a truly sumptuous feast, Delta restaurant, RiverHouse Restaurant, also offers the 10-ounce Organic Spring Creek Strip Loin. "We charbroil this in the way we know our customers like it, and then we offer them a choice between Gorgonzola Cream Sauce and Green Peppercorn sauce," explains Greene. "Then like the rack of lamb, we also serve it with seasonal vegetables and a choice between basmati rice pilaf and the special Chef's potatoes."
Another culinary delight is the Seafood Spaghettini. "The ingredients include seafood delicacies such as wild salmon, BC halibut, prawns, scallops, mussels, and clams, and then we toss them in Gorgonzola cream," says Greene. "This is perfect for those who want some sea food but can't choose between the particular seafood options."
For those with a hankering for the taste of something south of the border, there's the Blackened Chicken Quesadilla. "We make it with corn, black beans, red onion, and cheese, and then we put in the house-made salsa and sour cream," says Greene.
