LeBlanc WellBeing's virgin coconut oil comes from the coconuts of the Philippines, a country who has been producing coconut oil and coconut products for decades. Coconuts are picked and the meat is collected upon which it is "cold pressed" to squeeze out the oil. This is a process in which no heat or centrifugal force is apply to the coconut meat to extract the oil, and believed to result in a higher quality coconut oil. The oil is then placed in jars or pails, foregoing any refining, bleaching, or deodorizing thereby achieving it's "extra virgin" moniker. Since extra virgin coconut oil is not refined, a small amount of "coconut dust" may be found in the jar. As per LeBlanc WellBeing, this is simply extra proof that the oil is truly extra virgin.
