(Food-Beverage-News.Com, July 07, 2015 ) Sherman, Texas -- A spokesperson for A Cut Above Cutlery said today that the volume of positive reviews coming in on their 8 Inch Chef's Knife is continuing to grow on a daily basis.
"We're really grateful that people are taking the time to write detailed and informative posts about our knife," company PR Director Zoe Nichols said in a recent phone interview from the company's Sherman, Texas Headquarters. "It's really amazing when you have a Top 100 Reviewer weigh in with fantastic feedback on not only the high quality of our knives, but also how sharp and effective they are!"
The company's 8 Inch Stainless Steel Chef's Knife is available now and can be purchased at amazon.com. Other products in the line are expected later in the year.
The company was founded in May of 2015 on the premise that home cooks deserve quality cooking utensils at a price that won't break their budget. A Cut Above Cutlery is the brainchild of veteran retail marketing executive, Theron Andrews, who describes it as "a small company with big dreams".
"I love cooking but found myself between a rock and a hard place when it came to kitchen knives- there seemed to be two options, super-expensive and grocery-store-cheap", Andrews said in a recent interview. "Cheap knives can really take the fun out of cooking, but I just couldn't justify spending big bucks for expensive brand-name knives. Let's face it, I'm not a professional chef by any stretch of the imagination. I just want to enjoy the time I spend cooking meals for my friends and family."
Tired of buying disposable knives that "had a hard time sawing through melted butter", Andrews set off to establish some middle ground in the world of kitchen knives. His overarching mission, he says, is to help home cooks "rediscover the joy of cooking with quality, affordable tools". He concluded by saying "After all, good food is about spending time with those you love, not worrying about your budget."
