The company's first Twitter ad will highlight the company's first product, a wine aerator decanter, which enhances the aroma and finish of wine in the time it takes to pour a glass. It works on the same principle as conventional decanters, which allow wine to "breathe" and reveal complex flavors and aromas while softening a wine's finish, but allows the process to occur much more quickly. The company's wine aerator decanter launched in early May and has sold hundreds of units in just a few weeks.
The goal of the ad campaign is to get wine lovers who might not know about the product to see what Mimi's & Fifi's Wine Accessories has to offer, the spokesperson said.
"We know that there are so many topics being discussed on Twitter at any time, and some of those are topics about wine and wine drinking. It seemed like a perfect fit for us to start running an ad about our offerings and to target Twitter users who love wine."
