The unaudited preliminary report indicates an increase in the sales volume of the company's products, which are solely supplied through the Amazon online stores. The report contained data for the sales of the company's silicone oven mitts, julienne vegetable peelers, Universal Ph Test Strips, and premium glow sticks. Data from other products was yet to be aggregated at the time of announcing the preliminary sales report. However, the final sales report, which is expected to be released by the third week of September will contain complete sales data that has been compiled since the start of the third fiscal quarter in June.
According to the sales report, most of the sales in the third fiscal quarter came from the sale of the Puna silicone oven mitts with the Universal PH tests strips following a close second. The company attributes the high sales volume of the silicone oven mitts to a shift in the consumer preferences.
"A lot of homeowners are shifting from the use of the traditional cloth gloves to the more hygienic silicone mitts," part of the report read. The sales of Universal PH tests strips, which are a recent addition to Puna's Amazon store front outdid many other products in the company's catalog. Speaking during the release of the preliminary report Bianca Puna, the managing director of Puna Inc, said that the company attributes the rise in sales volume to the marketing promotions that the company has been carrying to raise awareness among the consumers.
"We made deliberate marketing efforts that included giving away free stuff such as eBooks to raise awareness among the consumers of our products," Puna said. Despite the high volume of sales witnessed for Silicone Gloves in the last quarter, the company might not manage to break even. A lot of money was spent carrying out the marketing campaigns and the only hope for the company is that the sales buzz ignited during the promotions will carry through to the end of the year.
