(EMAILWIRE.COM, January 09, 2012 ) Phuket, Thailand -- Food fans from all over the country are planning to travel to Port Elizabeth and this will place additional demand on the availability of Port Elizabeth hotels, according to online hotel room comparison website DirectRooms.com.
The Chilli Festival will be held on February 26th and 27th 2012, and it will take place at the Parsons Hill Primary School. Attendees can come along and try out all sorts of different chilli variations from 10am until 5pm each day. Admission prices are just 10 Rand for grown-ups and 5 Rand for children.
The Port Elizabeth Chilli Festival was founded by Heidemarie Vos, an ex-Playboy Bunny with a love of hot food. Fans of spicy food can look forward to trying out all sorts of recipes from all manner of top chefs from all over South Africa - the only pre-requisite for enjoying a great day's eating is that one must love hot, spicy food!
In addition to trying out recipes and dishes attendees can purchase chilli sees and plants themselves to grow their own at home. The festival finishes up each evening with a drink and a dance too.
Lek Boonlert, marketing head of DirectRooms.com, says, “Fans of chillis can really look forward to the Port Elizabeth Chilli Festival, and there are sure to be some great dishes on show for fans of spicy foods."
